What Matters – Thinking Ethically within Transactional Analysis Practice
Robin Hobbes

TSTA-p

The former Chairperson and Chair of Ethics of the British Institute of Transactional Analysis. Robin is currently the Ethical Advisor to the European Transactional Analysis Association. He also writes a regular column in the EATA Newsletter on Ethics.

Webinar information:

In this Webinar we will look at what matters to us as we work as Transactional Analysts. What matters to us is essentially informed by our own value system.

We will examine how we make value judgements in our work and how those judgements arise from the person that we are – our life we have lived – the culture we come from and so on.

I will use a framework that essentially says everything we say and everything we do is ethical. How then do we draw out the ethical background to our actions as TA people?

We will consider some moral philosophy ideas that can aid us in knowing this. I will present these various frameworks in order to more fully understand the ethical basis from which we act as Transactional Analysts.

The webinar will have lots of practical examples to illustrate ethics and participants will be encouraged to discuss practical applications of the ideas introduced in the Webinar.
